If you are a word press developer you often have to connect your site separately to each google product like webmaster tools, analytics, page speed, adSense and search console. This require you to install 3 more plugins to your site along with putting different tags and code to your index,php header. Which is sometimes dont verify or have other issues as well. So Google team has managed to get the customer signal for this problem and they are now introducing Google Site Kit. Which is a plugin for wordpress that automatically adds every feature of google products into your wordpress site so you dont need to connect every thing separately with Google.
In this article we are going to explore the Google's latest kit plugin for wordpress. This plugin is still in beta version but is available for the developers to test it. To download the plugin go to the following Url
- Click on the Get Developer Beta button and download the plugin. Its a zipfile.
- Now go to wordpress on your local host and open it.
- Click on plugin and then click on add new
- Upload the zipfile you downloaded from the website
- Click on install plugin and then activate it.
After installing click on the Google site kit and click dashboard.
You will get the above screen but dont worry its really simple just click on the link given in the 2nd sentence and disable adblock for the site if any used. After going on the site click the get Oauth button to get the credentials
After clicking you will get an Oauth credential link from Google just copy it and paste it into the wordpress site in Client Configuration box and then click proceed.
After that you will connect to the you google account and then click next next to finish the configuration.
Now all set and you are ready to go.
